The "springy" holding adapter is an ingenious adapter for lamps without harps. It mounts directly on a light bulb, holds the shade, and screws the attached finial in, then the lampshade goes on top. It can fit any spider lamp shade and washer-type lamp shades, recommended for 6", 7", or 8" lamp shades. Fabric, plastic, or vinyl shades are all adaptable, making it suitable for small to medium lamp shades.

This adapter allows users to fit a new style lamp shade on an old lamp, expanding their ability to use the lampshade of their choice.
