This lampshade comes apart and requires assembly, which should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The top and bottom rings are made of plastic, providing sufficient support for the fabric. However, the lampshades can only be used on table lamps or bedside lamps. Floor lamps with a spider fitter require a metal harp, which is not included in the package.

It is recommended to measure your existing lampshade before making a purchase, as a replacement harp may be needed to ensure a proper fit if you are changing the height of the shade.

Wellmet Assembly required Drum Lampshades Install Guide: 1. Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws of the metal support first. 2. Put the top and bottom rings together (each ring is in three parts). 3. Press the top and bottom rings to the fabric using the zip lock strips of plastic. 4. Ensure the front side of the top ring is upside (the side with visible metal screws is the front). 5. Press the fabric again and remove the double-sided tape on one end of the shade, then press the two together. 6. Finally, place the lampshade on your lamp. The five color and size options should match most lamps.

Measuring Lamp Shades: For table lamps, the shade should have a bottom diameter of 16" or less, unless the lamp is particularly tall. The shade height should be around 3/4 of the width or 3/4 the height of the base up to the socket.

For floor lamps, the shade should have a bottom diameter of 13", 14", 16", or 18" or larger. The shade should be tall enough to cover the hardware, socket, and part of the lamp base neck, so that the hardware is not visible from the side.
